Covid-19 information:

I am now offering outdoor counselling sessions in line with safe distancing measures. There are several walks near my practice where we can safely and confidentially walk and talk. Please contact me if you would like to know more.
I also offer a safe indoor consultation space within my own home with social distancing measures in place. Please see here for more details

Qualified Therapeutic Counsellor

I live in the Colne Valley in West Yorkshire and offer counselling, supervision and coaching sessions on the Pennine hills, woods, valleys, rivers and canals near my home.

I am trained to work outdoors and find that this way of working can be helpful for people who have a connection with nature, work or enjoy being outdoors or feel more comfortable in a natural landscape.

I also work indoors and have a consulting room in my home.

I have worked in education for over 35 years and have a great deal of experience in working with young people.

I trained in outdoor work and  co-founded Growing Works, a social enterprise and charity offering outdoor activities for individuals and families who have a disability, a mental health condition or for people who wanted to benefit from being outdoors.

For many years I also ran the outdoor space for women in crisis at the Womencentre in Huddersfield and was a volunteer counsellor there.

I connect regularly with the Findhorn Foundation where I gain spiritual support for this work and am a member of CAPO – Counsellors and Psychotherapist Outdoors

I also work as an artist and regularly exhibit and sell my work please see http://www.elainethelierart.co.uk
