I am now offering outdoor counselling sessions in line with safe distancing measures. There are several walks near my practice where we can safely and confidentially walk and talk. Please contact me if you would like to know more.
I also offer an outdoor telephone counselling session. This can take place on your daily walk, in your garden or outside space. This can be a ‘face-time’ call or a traditional telephone call. For more information please see here
WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is different from counselling. It’s not about your deepest fears and feelings, it’s more about who you want to become or what you want to do. Most coaching centres around business, leadership or life and the focus being on the role you play in various fields. It sometimes does not acknowledge you as a person.
Coaching is about putting you in the centre of your life, reflecting on your current choices, habits and skills and working out what you need to change or develop. Coaching offers a chance to pause, reflect and look at your life as it is and begin to work on how you would like it to be.
Together we explore your current situation, your skills, beliefs and actions. I work with you to help you work out where you want to be and how to make the choices and actions that will lead you towards that goal.
These sessions can take place indoors or outdoors – which ever suits you. Being outdoors often complements therapeutic coaching as the emphasis is on moving forward, action and future focus. The seasonal changes, the natural landscape and climate can all help to provide a therapeutic base for change and growth.
I have an indoor, home-based space and use the footpaths on canals, fields and wooded areas of the Colne and Holme valleys in West Yorkshire.
The sessions are longer than traditional counselling and can be spread out over several months. I offer a package of sessions please contact me to find out more.
